Browny_r31
hmm when u put all the things like the exhaust, intercooler etc in u will be looking at more then 4k for a setup. 300 for a FMIC.... that seems rather cheap. NismoR31Jet
$300 for the cooler would not include decent piping tho would it? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/46211-r31-engine-swap-sr20-or-rb20/page/2/#findComment-967676 Share on other sites

Doctor 30
SR20 can come with a six speed box. Don't think you can get one with an RB20. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/46211-r31-engine-swap-sr20-or-rb20/page/2/#findComment-976418 Share on other sites
WINNER31
RB20DETs will have a fair bit of lag down low... don't know about the SR20s.... Personally I would drop the RB30E and turbo it... they have so much low down torque but they still pull plenty high top speeds. Talk to some of the guys at R31 Skyline Club plenty of them have done the RB30 and RB20 conversions and they'll be able to tell you exactly! racsov500
..........theres also the rather unwise, crazy and unlikely swap of a vg series? prob doesnt fit anyway....but if it could move a cima, then the lighter skyline..... .....nah prob not. anyone got any ideas on this? predator
rascov: vg30 has already been swapped into an r31 up here.. saw it... think the only reason it worked out worthwhile as the engine was next to nothing. It looked like a big ****er.. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/46211-r31-engine-swap-sr20-or-rb20/page/2/#findComment-991728 Share on other sites
