It certainly does.

Quaife - Holy Sh*t what a experience !!!

So as above I bit the bullet and ordered all the parts I needed - this was late Jan/early Feb. Couple minor items were on the shelf - but gears, selectors, new input shaft (they said they had a updated better version so I ordered that as well) would need to be made - as its not a production box anymore - I would have to wait for them to do between regular production.

Here we are 10 months later - still nothing!  Been told for last couple months my stuff was ready - but I've seen nothing!  Not sure its if Quaife or there agent we're dealing with in NZ who arranged it all - or a combination of both!

Im just really now starting to want to drive the car again - so its really starting to get to me.........

Once the box is back together (hopefully ;) ) - I will order all new gears 1 - 6 , some selectors, another input shaft and put them away - that way I have a rebuild kit for later / spares on hand.

Eventually one day - Holinger...   but for now I'm sticking to the Quaife (Greddy) - if they ever come through ....

For those interested in an OS88, here is the oiling issue that needs to be rectified before you put it in the car.
The little slot where the light is coming through is the breather for the box. There is no cover for it and the gear acts like a paddle wheel and pumps oil up the hole and through the hose. So a cover will be made to stop this.
The oil breather fitting also needs to be drilled and tapped. My fitting popped out once it got in the car. OS must use clag glue to secure the fitting... it doesn't last.
I am also changing the sensor that lives in the bell housing.

so now that I got my os88, can you share how you went about modifying this breather?

Just finished an Albins install in a R32 GTR

Lots of work needs to be done in the tunnel, plus remote mounting the oil filter, shifter etc.

It is for a track only car.

The holinger is lighter and an easier fitment but the downside is that they have helical cut gears, no oil pump system and the sequential system doesn't use a barrel for shifting

    • R12 is probably still out there somewhere, at some ridiculous price. eBay also banned the sale of these older refrigerants on their platform so it's harder to connect to a seller now.
    • Thank you! The matching touches really ties it all in. If/when I redo the whole car it would likely be the same colour I did the Engine Bay/Brakes/Cam covers in 2018. or something adjacent
    • Love the purple accents in the car! It all comes together really well with the cage, boss kit and other little bits. Nice work all around! What colour are you thinking for paint?
    • Looking at finally painting and installing my R32 GTR wing I bought back in 2018. I got two quotes: Quote 1: $880 includes: wing, spare boot, holes welded up prep/paint. Pro: full boot with wing AND hole-less boot with lip i can swap between Con: $$  Quote 2: $330 wing only. Pro: cheaper Con: lose my (relatively) rare no holes sedan boot Also to consider I do plan on painting my whole car at some point "soon" (been saying that since 2018) Anyway Enjoy these All Japan Day 2025 pictures of my 4 door, still rocking the Calsonic Livery! Rolling in Interior shot Matching Peer Pressure Racing overalls are pretty cute ngl. This year was a hard 1990 cut so I got to be over with all the older cool stuff Next to arguably the best car there. A mighty S-Cargo
