Alternator Whine

Just cant get rid of this pesky whine.

Ive had to DC the battery to replace the starter today so I figured id try and get something done when the wall is off.

should I shorten the earth? / power?

I'm reluctant to shorten the power as it is needed to manouver the wall into place but I could probably spare 4-6 inches

when the wall goes into place, I cant really control where the wires fall, so i was thinking of taping / clamping them all to the wall and some how routing them to a black to attach / detach when needed to remove the wall

But, would this even be the cause? or am i chasing the wrong rabbit?

I should also say that the power in the top of the pick goes into a fuse block and then straight to the battery (about 12 inches of cable between block / bat )

Could be your head unit.

Cant really tell what all you have going on with wires back there, but make sure you arent running speaker wire near power wires, it will result in alternator whine.

Try to route the rca cables along the top of the board, to be the furthest from the power.

Attach some string to them. So yu can pull them up when the wall is fitted. Ghetto as but will work.
