Hi guys, I hope this is the right topic, if not I apologize.

I am looking at purchasing a R33 Skyline and have been looking up some common problems them have, most of them don't bother me but this specific issue did:

They have oiling starvation issues at high rpm. Is this above the stock rpm limiter or does it still occur at the stock rpm? Being an oiling issue in the head it would only harm the valvetrain then yeah?

How would one tell maybe noisy tappets? I am having a look at a r33 today so want to be fairly up to date with the common problems before I hand over my hard earned. Anything else that commonly plague the r33 gts25t?

Yep that's right.

The main issue with RBs ,is the heads don't drain quick enough, hence why you see so many external drain lines fitted.

Still a great car after 20 years.

Good luck hunting one down..
