Hi Guys!

For our first cruise of the year we are organising a nice run up through Macquarie Pass.

While on this cruise we will of course enjoy the great scenery and awesome cars and company we would also like to take the opportunity and help one of our long term members, David Hennessy, who has unfortunately been battling cancer for the last few years.

If you have not met Dave he is a great bloke and shares a great passion like most of us, Skylines!

For more information about this please head over to David's Go Fund Me Page at https://www.gofundme.com/kefb68c4

We would ask all who would like to attend the cruise to donate a gold coin on the day.

There will also be for sale discounted SAU NSW merchandise with sale proceeds going towards this.

Now onto the cruise details.

Date: Sunday the 21st of February

Meet Location: KFC - The Crossroads Casula (Corner of Beech Road and Parkers Farm Place)

Meet Time: Meet at 9:30am for a 10:00am departure

We will meet at KFC at the Crossroads and from here head onto the Hume Highway.

From this we will turn off onto Picton Road and follow this all the way into the Prices Motorway eventually reaching Albion Park.

The meet location is in front of St Paul's Catholic Primary School, Tongarra Road at around 11:00am - 11:30am.

Here we can make a quick rest stop to stretch our legs and allow everyone to catch up before heading off through Macquarie Pass.

If any lower west members would like to come this would be a good meet point.

From this it is a short trip up to Robertson Pie Shop for some of their famous pies and deserts.

There will be a lead and follow car so no one should get lost.

We will also be bringing along walkie talkies to keep the group together so if you have one please bring it along.

If you would like to attend or bring others along please put your name down and a +1 as numbers will be needed prior!

This is NOT a race and we will all be adhering to all road rules. If this is what you want please come to one of our many track days.

This is an official SAU:NSW event and will be run under a CAMS permit.

One of the things that really sets our club apart is our commitment to being true enthusiasts. When on normal roads we strive to maintain good relations with the authorities as well as the public in general.

When attending one of Skylines Australia NSW events please try to:

• Be aware of surrounding environment and act accordingly.
• Drive courteously on the state’s roads as a true enthusiast should.
• Understand how important it is to maintain the good name of SAU:NSW and thus, treat others accordingly.

• Any misbehaviour will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave.

Thanks guys and hope to see you there!

We need one of these... actually, make it two!

But in all seriousness, we hope everyone will have great time in the cruise without any issues.

Tez, I think we will have to make two briefings. Especially reminding everyone that the official cruise is from Casula Crossroads KFC to the pie shop. The return trip is not under the CAMS permit.

    • They see me rollin' they hatin'....... Took me most of the day to make the necessary mods to the mounts to make them fit the car.  Fortunately I was able to just use the mounts that came with the rotisserie. The rear ones are really secure, the front I feel i might reinforce a bit more as it doesn't seem like enough attachment to the vehicle. I'm sure it's fine but better to be safe than (extremely...) sorry.  I drilled and tapped thread into additional M12 holes to each car mount where it attaches to the rotisserie as an extra fail-safe. Without them the side to side movement is just restricted by the allen head pinch bolts, nothing actually goes though the beam. Does now! I still need to adjust the rotisserie to get the car centred in terms of centre of gravity. If it's too high or too low relative to the rotational centre line of the car, it will be like a turtle and roll onto its back or as it currently sits, I dont think I'd be able to rotate it as it sits as it needs to lift the whole car up as it rotates. Ain't happening... I'm going to be nervous as hell the first time I go to spin it on its side...
    • Oh yes done this when the window started flopping around.  Turns out the guides that run along the rail chanel had crumbed way. Took off the door card and pulled out the window mech, then the window, which you have to pull out through the top. As said unbolt the guide rail and don't spend 30 minutes getting frustrated trying to find a way to slide it out upwards cause that don't frigging work. Drop it down and out through the door hole. All I did to repair it was slice some 10mm clear plastic tube, vertically, then screw it to the guide rail both sides. This tubing rolls inward on both sides and leaves a gap wide enough to hold the window. To finish all I did was lube the plastic tube with olive oil and Bob's your uncle . . . well if he has the operation he can be your Aunt ! !  10 bucks in plastic tube and another 5 minute job done again . . . . YEH BULLSH#T ! My love for Skylines knows no bounds !
    • So was there a solution to this problem? I’m having this issue now.
    • not expensive, just irreplaceable if you don't go sub 60 at wakie in that thing people will start talking
    • I haven't replaced that, but I have had the doors apart on the r32 a couple of times The door skin will be held on by a combination of clips and bolts, just take it slowly and make sure all the sneaky hidden bolts are out Once the skin is off you should be able to pop that piece off pretty easily, looks like there are only 2 bolts holding it on
