If you are referring to the Hybrid Performance manifolds from NZ - Google and you will find a number of posts (there is a thread on here somewhere).

In summary I think people believe they are value for money (were quite cheap ) although some people said they had to plane the mating surfaces flat.

A high mount internal gate setup is a bit gumby.

Unless BW EFR, however if money were no issue (given you have drug money for an EFR) why buy a No Frills manifold?

I run one on my car, and saw another one on another track R chassis car this weekend gone.

There are no complaints about mine, very functional if maybe not having the same bling factor as some other brand names. No issues with fitment or build, although it doesn't look to be in the same league as (say) a Full Race.

Somewhere in a build project you've got to draw a line on finances, and if you don't require absolute top end performance I'm sure one of these will do the job at a reasonable price.

ive been running one for around 3yrs or so 510rwhp with manual

now running built auto with 450hp with same manifold seems fine.

wouldnt hurt to get surface faced for perfect seal.

mines a tiny bit leaky but cant be bothered removing it.

right now im looking for a turbo for the skyline until i have one that im comfortable with. i wont put it on order cause the turbo will determine which i will have to order

but i do have a page on facebook that contains everything i have do to it so far

https://www.facebook.com/EdmontonR34SkylineClub/

Not everyone does FB.

Photos show a few drag times and some sound gear install plus a pod filter, so maybe a long way to go?

Expect comments about planning/costing the whole upgrade, with all the gear required to fuel and tune the beast plus transmit the drive.

Are you on tighter budget? 4 turbo options that would cover 380-450rwhp (by Australian figures) would be BW 7670, Kinugawa T67, GTX3071, or something out of Stao's ATR43 range.

well since the canadian dollar went to shit against the us dollar my original plan had to be postponed my plan for the car is to use an n57 bmw diesel with a v160/161 getrag supra transmission, everything im doing right now is just to have a bit of fun until the dollar is more reasonable. i have the type b poncams being installed as well as an n1 water pump aluminum rad with 2 - 12" fans, i think i have found a turbo now Arashi TD06H-AR3, i also have a rc-turbo neo intake and throttle body on order, and am just waiting on hybrid performance to have a manifold ready to be able to order it.

BMW diesel engine into Skyline?

This deserves a fabrication/build thread!! Do it.

Meanwhile do a bit of searching on this forum for turbochargers. Quick google search, it seems like the Arashi is similar to some Kinugawa/Kando units on offer. A bit like the case with Mamba branded units. On a 2.5 litre you might find a T67-25G or TDO6SL2-20G more useable than something running the TDO6H turbine.

Well right now I only have a stock automatic transmission and I have to keep that in mind when buying parts until I get either a stock 5 speed or get the v160/161 getrag. the arashi is a good price at 950 Canadian shipped to me. I don't really have a budget for upgrades just what ever will work with this transmission for now. And my mechanic prefers Japanese built equipment and I trust him in that regard as he has built lots of high horse power skylines over his many years
