R34 Gtt High Idle And Popping

Hey just seeing if anyone can help me out

Iv taken the battery out a couple of days ago

And now my car idles around 1600 and is popping constantly

When I unplug the afm the car seams to stop popping as bad

Car is a r34 gtt and it is stock

Sounds like you've reset the tune by removing your battery. Keep driving it, it'll sort itself eventually.

When I mean popping I mean popping like 20x in 5 seconds

This happens also last year when I took the battery out and I just unplugged the afm and plugged it back and it was fine

Funny answers aside - perhaps your idle control valve (AAC) is stuck open, might be worth giving it a clean out.

Popping is a bit odd though, sounds like you have a couple of problems going on.

Already cleaned the acc

It feel the car is some sort of limp mode

The car still goes to red line

Maybe tripped a sensor

Or clean the MAF or check its wiring and plug.

And/or disconnect the battery - clean the terminals and reconnect securely.

I cleaned the maf today and checked the wiring

I'll check the battery tomorrow and I'll take my battery of my Evo and see if that fixes the problem thanks

A little update I put my Evo 8 battery in the car and it seems good

Gonna go get a new one
