Greg
seriously - clean your air filter. I was ready to replace my whole exhaust system, but after cleaning the air filter it was fixed. Don't spend money replacing the cat if its ok!! FATGTS-R
RTHRTY3: If you are getting a sound that is like you have a pod, but you dont have one, it might be a leak in your inlet tract. Check all hoses for leaks and any cracks from the airbox to throttle body. nismo_GTS: If you want to rule out the filter being dirty as the problem, just remove it altogether and go for a spin around the block. BBQ
Your auto will be slipping; Best bet is to take it to a mechanic that deals with Auto cars. He can diagnose it from their. If not check your fuel filter/replace it. They can sometimes cause that. Check all hoses for leaks and any cracks from the airbox to throttle body. umm an update, from inside the car it sounded like a sucking noise from a pod, but when you open the bonnet up and listen to it from the front it is more like a scraping noise and is coming from the front half of the engine near the water pump or cam cover area. makes the noise both on and off acceleration between 2000-3000rpm, and the funny thing is it goes away once the car is warmed up and is at normal running temp. any ideas?
