Hey guys, I did a compression test on my RB25det neo. What do yous think?

Dry:

Cylinder 1 - 145psi

Cylinder 2 - 147 psi

Cylinder 3 - 152 psi

Cylinder 4 - 150 psi

Cylinder 5 - 150 psi

Cylinder 6 - 154 psi

Wet:

Cylinder 1 - 182 psi

Cylinder 2 - 180 psi

Cylinder 3 - 180 psi

Cylinder 4 - 175 psi

Cylinder 5 - 185 psi

Cylinder 6 - 180 psi

Couple of months back, my car use to only blow white smoke on boost/acceleration. Then after a while it was getting a lot of knock, like 160+ on my power fc hand controller, but only while on boost. It was fine driving normal and I only boosted it every now and then to see if it'll still knock after changing some things, hoping it would have stopped knocking.... but it didn't. So I stopped driving my car altogether to prevent any further damage I could be doing.

And now when I turn my car on it constantly blows light blue smoke while idling or driving. I take my car for a little drive around my complex evey 2 weeks or so. I haven't boosted it but I'm guessing it'll be knocking and smoking even more than before.

Any thoughts? Thanks for reading.

The compression results seem reasonable for the age of engine. The variation isn't drastic at all. Not sure what is causing your smoking issues. I take it the fc is running the apexi maps. You shouldn't be putting it under max load when its untuned, especially since it was registering such a high knock count.

The car was tuned by previous owner at mercury motorsports. Only started smoking and getting high knock at boost mid last year. I've bought a standard rb25 turbo in good condition and will put it in when I get time. Car still drives fine when I do drive it. Just the smoke and knocking.

The car is burning oil and I'm guessing this is why it's knocking? If the turbo doesn't fix the smoke and knock, I'll probably have to pull the head out and have a look inside the engine.

Anything else I should and or shouldent be doing?

Yes. I believe you should firstly stop driving the car until you fix this oil leak and then get it to a tuner asap.

To add to my other post. Yes you are probably experiencing detonation or pinging. That's probably why your engine light is flashing on boost
