Given how hard it is to get the suckers out I'd just get what you want for your paper goals and make sure its genuine, either new or second hand. There's no point getting something you'll regret later to just save a couple of hundred bucks, given the mission it is to change them

I thought all -7 & -9 had front covers with a/r 60 stamped, and that little rectangle casting.

These look like standard r34 gtr turbos (ceramic) to me
