s2d4
Going from 63's to 67's. Hope he's getting the artec 0.82 housing, that should definitely help if the 0.64 chokes. I was going to uses that housing with 71's but need more power for the 1km event so single it is. sneakey pete
Well, the gtrs rear is the same as the -5/63 etc, I was just noting that there was an option out there that had the same flow as them except a smaller lighter wheel. Simon may have had heat issues on the track, but he did have the response of -5s and almost 500awkws aswell, noting it would be a pretty kickass Street combo Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/463295-opinions-on-hks-gtrs-on-a-rb26/page/2/#findComment-7690652 Share on other sites
Dose Pipe Sutututu
Twins are gaids, only really works on a V6 or V8 or so when you have separate plenum a for the group of cylinders that are huffing into the turbo. Twin scroll is where it is at, less restriction better efficiency and less piping and all the other bullshit associated with twins. Look at Piggaz I told him over 6 years ago (not kidding) and look at him now. He's woken up to reality 3 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/463295-opinions-on-hks-gtrs-on-a-rb26/page/2/#findComment-7690673 Share on other sites
Anfanee
Nothing wrong with twins depending on what you want to do. Chasing power, single wins every day. UWISSH!
I had rs's on a stock internal 26 and they were absolute shit. Shuffle like crazy, laggy. Even ended up getting the balance pipe manifold and they still sucked 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/463295-opinions-on-hks-gtrs-on-a-rb26/page/2/#findComment-7690950 Share on other sites
Dale FZ1
^^ Chris I note the past tense "had". What do you have now, and what do you reckon is a better setup based on the experience? UWISSH!
I went built motor with a t51r [emoji16] even that was more fun Prior to the rs's I had 2530 and they were heaps better. I bought the gtrs's just to try something different but the amount of shuffle made them absolute shit to drive with. I could not accelerate in 5 gear cruising on the freeway. I always had to drop back a gear. 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/463295-opinions-on-hks-gtrs-on-a-rb26/page/2/#findComment-7690979 Share on other sites

mr skidz
Turbo is a nugget doesn't matter what engine is bolted to it's garbage much better options out there especially for the money they ask. you just have to measure the front compressor wheel and then measure the turbine wheel. it's the same as boosting your car to 50 psi and leaving the 2 inch exhaust on who cares what air you can get in you'll never get it out. XKLABA
Each to there own, I know someone that has them on his 2.6 and made 700+hp atw and loves them Me I have them on a 3.0 and think they aren't to bad but I wouldn't put them on a 2.6 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/463295-opinions-on-hks-gtrs-on-a-rb26/page/2/#findComment-7699982 Share on other sites
Piggaz
Got out of a stock 2.6 with a dirty old T04Z open scroll today. Was actually quite impressed. 4500 rpm and was cracking gates, yet made 450 rwkw on unigroups dyno. Straight back onto song between gears. Makes me upset why I've been playing in the sandpit for the last 9 years with twins. 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/463295-opinions-on-hks-gtrs-on-a-rb26/page/2/#findComment-7700130 Share on other sites

Piggaz
Bet the power delivery was fun.It was.Linear, quick to fall back into its stride. I would 100000% prefer that than a set of -5's (let alone a set is RS's) on a stock engine. Makes me very curious to see what a 3582R would do on the same setup, being smaller. That was an old dinosaur garrett Z, open scroll, single gate setup. Until fuel pump wiring fell out somehow (a donkey installed said pump) stopped me from buying that R. Been debating whether to man up to get one for a couple of years, living close to Knox didn't help haha.
