Needs A Lot Of Tlc

Just picked up this r33 that is in desperate need of some love!
Can anybody attempt to give me a rough estimate on what i might pay for a closed door respray same colour on this. The roof/bonnet/boot are all badly faded and there is two small dents (pictured) around the fuel lid.
The car has various scratches (the worst ones pictured).

go get a few quotes from panel shops.. Your probly looking at 3-8k depending on quality

Nah man I don't want to sell it, regardless of its condition. I picked it up because I wanted to restore it (and it had just had an engine rebuild).

Then you have no problem paying 20k for a respray

Ricky from skyline auto works started a paint and panel shop not long ago. Call him and ask how much.

The prices for a closed door respray can go from 2,000 to 8,000 depending on what you want and how you want it finished.

You're better off going in and seeing business in person. No good panel beater will give you an exact quote over the phone. Who knows what needs to be done, could need to go back to bare metal etc

This. And you factor that in to the price of buying the car.

Typically it's much easier and a lot cheaper to buy an immaculate car. If that's what you want.

Otherwise just drive it. It will get damaged eventually anyway.

Buying a clean shell/car with blown motor and re-shelling with some mates on the weekend would probably be cheaper in R33 land

Or unbolt panels and buy other silver panels, will look better than massive paint fade
