lol headroom

pull thermostat out let it run at 40 degrees then

good luck

I'll stick with my factory thermostat which is working brilliantly.

At 40 degrees that idiotic, you want it at min. 80 for oi viscosity to be correct.. a R33 thermostat is perfect for this.

Each to their own, no point arguing if you barely understand what I am trying to say.

It's a simple formula: clean and clear radiator (stock or aftermarket), good condition water pump, correct thermostat, properly bled correct coolant in the system.

To find the problem start with the cheapest and easiest item above, check and or replace said item. If that fixes the problem good. If it doesn't fix it then go to the next item. Repeat until the problem is resolved...

Yeah a new rad and thermo is definitely on the list. I think I'll just stick with the standard thermostat.

Also tee'd up to buy an intercooler off of someone on SAU today, will this be beneficial towards this, or worse? If my rad isn't cutting it, I think worse

I understand, my sarcasm indicates I can't be bothered explaining it a second time. For someone so smart I'm surprised you didn't pick up on that.

FMIC reduces radiator efficiency slightly, yes. But not enough to make ANY practical difference if your cooling system is up to scratch.

Fix your cooling system. TBH I wouldn't even be driving it if the temp gauge is going past half way.
