HIKAR1
I am diagnosing my friend's bog stock R32 RB20DET. The car occassionally stalls once it is warmed up esp. coming to a stop at red light. The car also feels that it is lacking power. I checked through for boost leak and got none. Put the ecu on diagnostic and it flashes code 12 (afm). It has a green label afm. Took the afm out and bench tested it; two tests were done, 1. As is No air flow voltage: 0.01V Constant airflow (hairdryer cold air): 2.10V 2. Cleaned with maf sensor cleaner and pin contacts resoldered No air flow voltage: 0.01v Same setting hairdryer: 2.25V Shouldn't the voltage be 0.5V with no airflow? AFM rooted? jmknights93
I'd source a 2nd hand AFM and do the same test. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/463771-r32-rb20det-stalling-randomly/#findComment-7700973 Share on other sites
r33 dylan
New afm would be your best first choice Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/463771-r32-rb20det-stalling-randomly/#findComment-7701022 Share on other sites
