Timing Belt (tensioner Spring) Urgent Quick Answer

Hi,

I am changing the timitng belt, and I have put everything back..

can anyone tell the spring for the tensioner pulley for the timing belt.. does the spring lock into anything? or just sits there floating

it appears the spring end it ligning up to the top of the engine block.. near water pump..

or is there a special place for it to go?

there is a second tiny little stud (M5 or even m4 maybe) that it is meant to stop on next to the tensioner stud. sounds like yours is missing

Firstly, you don't even really need the spring but I would use if if you have it.

There should be a stud in the block for it to rest against. One end sits inside the tensioner and the other rests against the stud, orientated such that it applies tightening pressure on the tensioner.
