Removing Plastic Fender Extensions

Curious is its just double sided tape holding on all the plastic fender extensions as well as the same extensions on the door ? Thinking of taking them off so I gets cleaner look but worried there are holes behind them. Has anyone done this ? Cant seem to find threads for it.

Just look at any M35 Axis, those are the same flares as the ARX - just painted.

Also there are holes In the guard behind the flares.

There are a number of plastic 'rivets' attached to the wheel-arch flares and side-skirts. These line up with plastic socket (sorry, I don't know the terminology) which are embedded in the car body. The rivets hold the flares to the car. You need a flathead screwdriver or similar to pop the rivet out, and there are screws under the sideskirts also. With the arch flares etc removed you will have a series of white plastic discs along your bodywork.

They could be removed I guess, but then you'll have holes.

You will also have issues with the front and rear bumper skins; as they have moulded extensions that line up with the wheelarch flares.

Never realized the axis had the same!

Shame that it doesn't exist in gold otherwise I would just buy the ones matching my car color ...

Yeah some of mine are falling off as the plastic clip bit has snapped from the overfender... need to work out if i can DIY spray it and reattach somehow...
