Hey guys,

New to the stagea game and I'm sure this is probably a dumb question but any help would be great.

Recently bought a c34 series 2 RS RWD. Looking for coilovers for it and have no idea what fits for the rears, the fronts are the same as s14/s15, was told I could use s14/s15 front and rear so bought a set of coils, the fronts fit fine but the rear top hat is different, holes don't line up, the rear is a eye type bolt at the bottom.

Any help to clear up confusion would help, cheers guys

Logical that a suspension for a small sedan will not suit a 1700kg wagon built to carry a load in the back.

You need to buy Stagea suitable suspension. Have a read of (some of) the suspension thread.

I went shock and spring route. BC do make coilovers though to suit the RS if you're keen on them. When you do you're searches make sure its for a WGC34 (WGNC34 being 4wd)

Springs: Tein

SKN80-G1B00

Nissan - Stagea - WGC34

These have to be made and takes about 3 weeks, Fulcrum suspension in Aus is the Tein dealer, helpful blokes. Theres another part number for the 40mm drop springs on this page too, mine were 25mm.

So I have to find stagea coilovers, I can't use anything else, example r32 Gtst or what?

You don't have to, but its not worth the effort. Using suspension from a 1300kg car in a 1600kg car isn't the smartest move. Spring rates will be wrong, valving will be wrong and over feel like a bag of dicks.

Save your coin and buy something vehicle specific. MCA make the best coilovers available for the C34.

Or you can buy a couple of springs and shocks.

I got some second hand recond Bilsteins (Stagea specific labelled Nismo) and some (new) Tein springs from a local suspension shop.

Rear Teins were Tein R - SIN79-010382HCC (although mine is AWD).

There are suitable Eibach springs and other brands which will do the job as well.

I see HKS sets for the Stagea from time to time.

Yeah the resr is an eyelet, I've been looking at teins or bc coilovers, don't really want to go bc as they wear out too quick, what would be an ideal Spring rate for the stagea?

Stock is 165 LB/in front and 170 rear. My Teins are 172 front and 213 rear but they are a little on the hard side.

    • Thanks, plan is to drain all fluid tomorrow and do smoke test to find out the leak.   Appreciate your help and want to understand how the system work. So cooling is achieved by the long loop not any rad? The diagram seems to suggest it connects to somewhere inside the cabin and I thought that is a cooler inside firewall. If you look at the diagram it seems to show it connects to something inside firewall. I tried chasing it but not easy unless I take loads off   i am confident pump is good as fluid goes in and it gets soft( steering) but as soon as I turn engine off , loads of bubble come to surface and overflow. When engine is on , fluid level is below minimum but when off it shoots off and thinking it is sucking air in. I suspect aluminium pipe may have a crack line or whole   smoke test with no fluid should be a good start and if needed will remove the pump   In addition, the one going under the engine bay is high pressure line and one directly connecting from pump to resorvoir is return/ low pressure?   finally I searched and suggestion is to use dexron 2 but that is discontinued so bought dexron 3 as all research suggest it is compatible and shouldn’t cause any issues/ blow seals. I bought two liter of dexron 3 motul atf
    • Don't worry about. Just don't try to drive hard enough to make boost and you'll be fine.
    • Yes. This has already been said. It is a loop of hardline in front of the radiator. Because.... the pump is on the LHS and the steering rack hydraulic connections are where they always are on a RHD steering rack....on the RHS. The high pressure line goes down under the engine, along the crossmember, like it does on all Skylines. Don't just throw expensive braided hoses/other kits at it. Work out what is wrong and fix that.
    • Still got the afm on the intake, clamps are shut tight, only loose hose is the one that goes from the j pipe towards the IACV, since it's next to impossible to find a factory hose and the barbs are different sizes (I'm still using clamps on this hose to try and help it seal on the iacv side) I've ordered parts to make up the hotside of the intercooler pipes, I'll plumb it in and see what happens in a few days I suppose The turbo's internally gated, can I just unscrew the tension rod to let the gate open?
    • Did this ever go further ? Would love some updated info
