Hi guys

Just wondering if anyone has ever used a device to track their car via GPS. I know there are various alarm systems that do this however come at a price.

this is a popular, cheap device that you can place in your car and track it using your phone. anyone used it or something similar?

i was wonderin about these ones too.

i would assume its cheaper for a reason.

but doesn't seem to need the usual sim card like others.. or maybe that was just omitted....

no sim card needed as it has somekind of gps transponder/radio which then your phone picks up via gps as well.

I'm not sure if it's something worth leaving in a car.

From what I gather the device only works within a certain range and once it's out of that range it relies on other trackers to detect it's last known location.

I may be wrong?

That was my concern ^^. Almost seemed like once the car was down the street it would be out of range. But surely it's not that shit??

When you look at the actual website notice how their examples are shit like keys and wallets? I wouldn't rely on something like this for a car.

it uses WIFI connectivity pretty sure

it would only be good as a secondary device

better to hard wire a gps sim tracker they are cheep too only thing u have to buy a long expiry telstra sim
