FYI

I have stock RB30DE bottom end, Stock 25DET Neo head, 6 boost and Hypergear SS2 (roughly equivalent to a 3076), 3" straight through exhaust, 45mm external gate straight to atmo and I'm making 340kw on 16psi with a misfire. Has plenty left in it and f**k it's fun to drive.

then let's all have a sads...

A stock 2JZ-GTE VVTi with say a GTX3582R bolted to it will out perform a mildly built RB30 lol... they will happily shit out 450kW on E85 stock the works.

RB30DET vs a 2JZ-GTE VVTi

both 3.0L, both 6, both some form of valve timing, both 24 valves, both japanese-ish lol

youd be amazed how far a stock rb30 can go if your not a wimp...the main difference is the secondhand 2J hasn't done 200,000+km ...

a refresh still on stock internaks and the gaps not as far as people think

a 2j will still snap a rod with the current offering of midframe turbos on kill just as easy..

a mild rb30 will do that..easy..even with a sohc head without a gtx
