During Easter my ATP high flow was going nice, only driven around 2000 kms on it.

Had 30000 on it when installed, banjos all drilled out, was flowing great.

Towed a boat plus camping gear away, turbo was working hard up hills , and for quite long periods.

Developed a whine now under boost.

Thinking it's been over spun, fatigued / warped the shaft.

Or maybe dirt is getting in the dry joint of the AMPerformance intake which was only done recently and damaged the comp wheel.

Still spools fine, just with noise.

Was planning for e-manage and tune very soon...

Now all I need is a rope and a tree

thanks, will do.

I can't really test for leaks on the road, needs to be on dyno.

still boosting fine, so could be a whistle from a leak.

this turbo was a high shaft speed design

put that with a 3 tonne load

my gut is telling me it's over spun

Mine developed a high pitched whine/whistle at >4000rpm at Calder Park last time, was racking my brains until one of the SAU guys told me it's 99% turbo-to-manifold nuts – and it was.

Very easy one to test: bend back your locking clips (mine were perfectly aligned, still had all four nuts loose!) and use a 17mm ring spanner to tighten, preferably with a hot engine.

Good luck
