Im sick and tired of this shit. 2 months ago just before i sold my 32 i had someone run up the back of my car and scratch the bumper bar stripping the paint and bending the tow hook. Now i have had a r34 for 2 months now and its been hit 3 times so far. Someone reversed into my front bar and cracked the paint, they did the same thing with my rear bar and the paint is cracked now and yesterday i came back to my car after it was parked in westfields and some dickhead hit my side mirror and cracked the shit. Seriously i was parked with wide spaces in between. Sick of all these f**kwits hitting my car seriously i wish i caught someone hit and and run off i swear to god ill f**king kill them. Do you have f**kwits hitting your car and how mad does it make you?

Iv got a scratch on my rear bar.. apart from that nothing really.. no offense but its where you park your car.. stop parking in conjectured areas and it wont happen..

Even now ill walk 500 meters as long as i get a parallel park cause bumpers are easy to spray compared to dints in the door

Mate you're in Sydney, you're guaranteed to have damage to your car.

First week of getting my GT-R, front guard got scratched/dented by a retard in a shitty utility vehicle in Chatswood.

Rear bar damage, scratches and dents on guards/doors. It's bound to happen

Park next to a pillar, never park between jacked up cars or taxi looking cars.

Maybe invest in a motion activated dash cam (front and rear, expensive though).

Yeah I prefer to park away from all the tools too and walk a bit extra. Parking near pillars, wider spots or walls helps too. I go as far as getting out the passengers side due to parking the drivers side of the car so close to a wall or pillar

Out on the street single spots between driveways are the best and never overnight - had two cars hit when parked on the street overnight

i have to park mine in a supermarket car park everyday for work and i park away from everyone yet... i cant tell you how many times i still find scratches..dents..paint trade...smacked in mirrors...i know your pain..some people just dont respect other peoples stuff or just jealous mother...Fckers

You know what, call me paranoid but a few people have given us Skyline drivers and most sports car owners in general a bad label of "hoon" etc so although I don't think people go targeting us on purpose or anything, I definitely think they are less careful when parking nearing us and therefore less forgiving.

    • Absolutely this. Yes, except not vacuum hose. Something oil/fuel safe is a better idea.
    • Like a Stagea, but not as cool! Hope you have enough garage space for this, or is something going to leave to make way for it?
    • The new project has arrived. I have wanted one of these for such a long time, well before that meathead Clarkson drove one in Africa. I really wanted an E34 but I have some medical issues that mean I *really* can't bump my head and the lack of airbags in the E34 made it just too big of a risk.  I don't know why I've always liked these older touring BMW's to be honest, but man I love this car. She's been pretty well maintained for her 243k's with what appears to be only a single oil leak at the oil filter housing gasket. It has a bunch of updates including later model bumper and headlights, 7 series billion-way adjustable seats and it came with a few spares and another set of wheels with legal tyres. I got a unregistered car permit from the RTA and drove it back from Canberra on Saturday.                   First cab off the rank is cleaning it up for blue slip. I dont know how picky they'll be but I figured I'd clean the headlights, fix the oil filter housing gasket, replace the speed sensors (throwing errors) and swap the OE wheels (the M Sport wheels have a big chunk out of one of the tyres.) I also need to replace all 6 gas struts - 2 for bonnet, 2 for hatch and 2 for hatch glass. The car tries to eat me whenever i open any of these. My plan for this car; Ultimately, this is a budget car. I can't afford to throw lots at it and its because I have another car that I got this, if something breaks its no big deal. I will just maintain and repair it really. But eventually I want to do a manual conversion. It actually looks pretty straight forward for E39's and the trickiest part will be sourcing the parts.  I do need to replace some suspension arms or bushes because wow, she's a floaty old girl. She's also fantastically slow. Like really, really slow. When pulling back out on to the freeway on Sat after a quick pull over I needed to wait until no cars were visible before going.  Oh, and the guy I bought it from had a gorgeous R31 GTS-X in the garage.
    • Do you have a picture? I assume it is a breather for gearbox oil as it expands, it should have a vacuum line run nice and high in the engine bay (R32 GTR has it on a top bellhousing bolt)
    • Hi all, I am putting an r33 gtst gearbox into a VL and have noticed what looks like a vacuum barb on the box (on top in the middle). Suspecting that it's a vacuum line but I'd like to double check, if someone could confirm the function of that would be great. Cheers in advance.
