Hi

I'm thinking of changing my stop/tail bulbs to LEDs but cannot get confirmation of LED have the stop/tail capability. The bulbs have two filaments. Its the same for the position lamps / parking lamps in my HR31. When switching the indicator on, the second filament lights up.

Do LEDs have half light up on tail, then all on brake?

Dude that is so confusing, what are you talking about? Your brake lights or indicators?

A good LED replacement bulb will be:

1. More expensive than ebay stuff

2. Have the ability to divide voltage so park will be dim (~5V) and brake will be bright (~12V).

Check out VLEDs.

I'm talking about the position/parking lights here. In HR31's they're a stop/tail globe with two elements. When the indicator is switched on the second filament lights up on that side. Its like a high beam that shines out to the corner you're turning into.

I'll search VLEDs... cheers!

so, your converting your front parkers, not your stop-tail lights to LED?

Stop-tail and parkers. They use the same globe and operate in the same way which is why I've mentioned it in the same topic.

I assume with LEDs they just operate at half power then when brake is on they go to full.
