Managed to find one of these !!

Started on installing the new suspension gear (If only I knew how long it was going to take I definitely wouldn't have started at 6pm)

Once we got some of the arms off we just tried to get them as close to standard length as possible until the car goes in for a full alignment setup

The front camber arms were a bit annoying to get the bolt all the way through but managed non the less.

Once we had everything off we started throwing all the new stuff in

I wanted to keep the front air diversion plates on and the standard bracket didn't fit so we had to improvise for now!

Took it for the first drive and immediately could tell of the extra sharpness and a firmer although still comfortable ride and pretty happy with how it all looks!

Also got started on the Oil cooler and filter relocation kit

While I had the front bar off, I thought i'd give the mesh a fresh coat of matte black paint until i have time to get it properly coated..

Reading instructions in Japanese is no easy task, so instead I just looked at the pictures :P

As much as I didn't want to do it, I had to cut some plastic to get the lines fitted but I didn't have to go crazy thankfully..

So I didn't get around to finishing it all yet but secured the lines so I can drive around until next weekend and finish the hard part !

Finally finished the Oil filter relocation kit and hooked up the oil cooler!

Such a pain in the ass job that I'll never do again unless the engine was out..

Can't wait for these cooler oil temps, now ready for another track day in 2 weeks :)

What's the theory with putting them there? I've always thought it would just make a mess when you change the filter

It makes a mess when you change the filter in the normal location which is difficult to clean up. At least this way it's much easier to prevent any spills, just need to get some rags around it and that's it. Oh and also much easier to change the filter :)

I usually find the mess is made shortly after you have had to smash a screw driver through the filter just to unscrew the overly tight #$%^ of a thing.

So these monsters arrived today..

All 4 calipers and discs will be getting a refresh/clean up before they go on. Also need to grab some adapters with the rear bells from Supertec when the time comes!

I've been there more than a few times :)

  • 2 months later...

So a little update with a few minor parts purchased recently...

On the suspension side I'm looking to slowly accumulate Ikeya Formula gear, so I started that off with some rear lower control arms which will get a refresh before going on the car.. Does anyone happen to know the paint code for these??

Finally got around to painting my brand new Ganadors that I had sitting in the box for almost a year, so all they need is some sanding and a polish then they will go on the car and the standard items will go into storage :)

Also picked up a fire extinguisher bracket for the passenger seat.. Just in case!

My window retainers both had imprints (dents) left over from the weather shield clips that hooked into them.. So naturally I bought some new ones to my satisfaction..

And last but not least, a HKS Glovebox gauge holder!
