Hello guys I have an issue with oil control with RB26 need to pull out the motor to fix...

Question is have any one pulled out motor only off of the gear box with OS GIKEN triple plate clutch on block...

I really don't have the space to pull both out from engine bay or i don't want to pull out the gearbox either. they lead to more work and time..

Thanks.

The thing is the clutch stick back in gearbox bill housing way to much. If I manage to get it out can I drop it back in with no interruption of the bill housing

Have you or any one manage to pull the motor out and back in Without interruption of the bell housing

I've never removed an engine with a triple but I've done lots of singles and a few twins. All work the same way, you tilt the engine incl clutch to clear the bellhousing and then straighten it up as you lower it. You will also need to lower the rear of the gearbox way down so the input shaft is straight to the crank

^^^what he said. Once you have removed all the bell housing bolts and the starter (and the front prop shaft) undo the rear g/box mount (put a jack under it) and lower it down as the engine goes up. Not one man job - you will need help!

Obviously first remove the radiator, fan etc.

I've never seen someone be able to get try and be cranky with me, while they're holding back fits of laughter... 😛   Also, I tell mine it's payback anyway. She has BiPolar. So the household can get quite emotionally wild at times 😛
    • I'm not up to date on the latest, but for basic modifications like pod filter, lower springs etc you can get a modification permit at the time of inspection.  For more serious modifications you will need engineering.  Intercoolers used to fall into the mod permit rule but its been a long while since i looked it up.   Either way you will be able to get it registered, just a case of $300 vs $3k .
    • Hi everyone! I’m the new owner of a 1996 R33 GTS-T, I’ve purchased this car over from Queensland and brought it to Western Australia and I’ve found that there is a hole cut out in the engine bay for the FMIC that enters into the wheel well (fender liners are in the boot). For anyone that has had to get their car over the PITS here, will this be a major issue?
    • Yeah I've spotted this one too, whenever it's lotto superdraw week and I'm browsing car sales dot com for my new ride They must be dreaming, maybe it's worth 150k for the link to Brock?
    • 100% accurate!  We are a pack of know it alls....  But, I bet people go to you when they have a problem! I've been on a bit of a clean up rampage too over the past month!  I've thrown more shit in the bin over the past 2 weeks than I have in the past 3 years combined! Anyway, it's all good fun being different! My wife sometimes does not agree!
