RE Spacers: There are bolt-on (min 15mm I believe) and slip-on, which is just a piece metal with holes in it. Hub centric means the hub hole is manufactured so it sits on your hub properly, instead of having a generic size (73mm or something).

The bolt-on spacers I've seen are hub centric (e.g. GKTech, meaning the hub hole is 66.1mm Nissan size).

Lipping/rolling isn't that hard, just get a heat gun to heat up paint and a roller (I bought an ebay one from Adelaide for $180-ish). Need patience and good smooth movements.

Slip-on spacers come in <15mm but definitely not recommended.

Hub centrics are the way to go but the minimum thickness is either 15mm or 20mm.

OP have you considered the obvious solution - just add negative camber? It'll keep the look and reduce rubbing, at the cost of tyre wear and handling. #stancedyo

Gk tech do, or did, a 10mm slipon hubcentric..i know, i have some lol. Have widened guards a little on rear but have a cpl different sizes of hubc spacers to get the 'right' fit, works well

Just be mindful with the rolling to use lots of heat. I had a backyard job done on my rear guards, one ok one cracked, great fun trying to repair the paint.

If you want a proper job done talk to Try Track, they have a specialist who does expensive cars. This said I was quoted $300 plus for rears only... But as most things I'm guessing you get what you pay for.

Appreciate the advice mate. Considering I only need around 5mm of my rear guards flared and I'm taking it to The Suspension Centre in Kealba who apparently have done this many times, I'm hopeful they shouldn't crack but I will remind them to apply plenty of heat.

Well, the problem is actually the reverse...my tires and rims fit fine on my R33 GTR but then I wanted the wide body look so got my rear and front guards flared (properly with extra body work done etc) - and the end results of great but then I realised my rear wheels were slightly a bit tucked away so I bought 15mm hub-centric spacers and it now looks great but is slightly scraping a bit over rough bumps or when I turn at high speeds so I measured and it looks like I will need to get a minor guard roll on the rears that will give my wheels around 5mm extra and then it's smooth sailing. And now, I can't afford to buy new wheels or tires now... :woot:

I think you're right mate...I got hub-centric spacers and have not found any smaller than 15mm that fits flush and the ones I got are made specifically for Nissans so all good there, but then I will need a minor guard roll for clear around 5mm extra space for hard turns at high speeds and high bumps etc. I have looked at videos and done some research and you're right doing it myself wouldn't be too difficult, but I lack experience so I can't afford to have any mishaps and regret it - also, I don't want to fork out about $200 for the guard rolling tool when most likely I will only ever use it once or twice. That's why I'd just rather go pay someone around $150 to do it for me professionally to reduce the risk of paint cracking and it will be done nicely.
