Let me start with this is my first RB I've owned, I'm used to XR6T's.

Long story short, when I run 14psi it feels considerably less slower ( especially in 2nd gear ) then it does running 8psi or so.

Anyone care to explain why? I know that it's not tuned for it but didn't think it would have such a big effect.

If so that is your problem. You're forcing more air into the engine. Chances are you need to adjust the air to fuel ratio in each cylinder accordingly. Too much air, not enough fuel, thats my guess.

Nope.

Too much fuel.

The stock ecu chucks in heaps of fuel and pulls timing with higher boost. Also referred to as rich and retarded.

Presumably you're talking about a 33..

14 is too high for the stock ecu, likely will blow the stock turbo pretty quick too.

In stock form anything over 12 is pushing your luck. 10 is generally about as high as safe levels go.

each car will vary in exact levels before its starts to fail.

Whoever told you 14 is a cowboy and you should disregard everything they have ever said. unless you want to just crank shit up till it blows and have your car off the road more often than on it.

Anyway, you have a lot of researching to do, so get to it =) its all here on SAU. Reading a few threads would have told you all this =)
