Bah Piggaz, theres nothing wrong with a PowerFC. It does the job just like any other ECU.

But why would you consider a PowerFC when you already have Nistune? Makes no sense to take out powerful OEM ECU with tuneability and replace with less powerful vintage ECU with the same requirement for AFMs.

There is everything wrong with it when you have something in there already that will do the job. It's a sideways step. If you're going to change something, change it for the better.

While you're right, I chimed in saying PowerFC because everyone else was saying other brand name ECUs that he didn't need, PowerFC is more on his level. PowerFC > Nistune anyway. They're both basic budget ECUs, but they'll both do the job.

Lol.

Nistune can do way more than a power fc.

The power fc is shiet. I was running one and got rid of it for a haltech. Pfc not even worth the metal they are made from.

What makes you say that? Mine's been tuned on Nistune and on a PFC, both drove just fine. Was tracked with the PFC with zero issues, made 400kw. Definitely more down to the tuner than it is the ECU.

I have a PFC in my 32 and the original tuner who is one of the most well known tuners in Sydney did a farkin horrible job of tuning it and I wanted to bin it then gave it to Scott@Insight and now it drives better then the stock one ever did

TL;DR, PFC requires a better then good tuner

EmTron > Haltech anyday of the week

^^ This. I'm not saying Haltech is shit, I'm not saying Nistune is shit, I'm not saying PFC is better than all of those combined. I'm saying there is nothing wrong with all of those options provided you have the right tuner. To say PowerFC is shit because its old is naive, 8 times out of 10 its more than anyone on this website needs, we're not all running 800kw drag cars where we need every sensor ever conceived and an ECU to shut everything down because it broke a ringland at 8000rpm while making that 800kw.

Don't need to spend 2k on an ECU to suit the "drive around town and maybe a track day a couple of times a year" application.
