The Barra engines are the go, only need to do internals if going 600+hp, they are a high torque motor and a lot of fun, power glide is definitely the go.

I have seen it done but can't remember the guys name.

Only real downside is it won't sound like an RB

Not only do they not sound like an RB. They sound like absolute dick.

Yep definitely don't have the same aggressive scream like RB and 2J its like the tone is stuck inbetween a 6 and 8, hate there sound but awesome performance.

Sounds like you have dicks in your ears.

Some of the comments in this thread are hilarious.

Take a look at a dyno sheet from a mildly tuned Barra 4 litre, and you'll soon realise why they would smack an rb25 like a redheaded step daughter. All while making peak power at about half the revs of the rb25, and hold it to redline.

Interesting. I just got home from a cruise with some mates.

My mate with a tuned Barra got pissed on by an 34 tonight.

That's right, the guy in the 34 had time to stop, flop out is dick and piss on my mates car as he drove past.

Is that hilarious enough for you.

Because I find it bloody funny.
