So I've just bought an Evo 6 and I'm new to AWD life. I unfortunately blew out a single tyre in the storms over the weekend (hit a fkn giant pothole in the middle of Chatswood of all places) and I have a couple of questions about replacement.

  1. Tyres are pretty fresh RE003s, receipt states they were installed in Jan this year. How worried should I be regarding tread depth? If it's really an issue, I've seen a few forums talking about shaving tyres to match the others' rolling circumferences as well, I dunno how legit that is or if Aussie shops do this? In any case replacing all 4 tyres is a f**king pain in the arse when the good 3 are so new :[
  2. Luckily I was 2 mins from home so didn't need to f**k around in the rain. I threw on the spare tyre at home and was originally going to head to local tyre shop for an alignment at the same time, but found the rolling circumference of the space saver is *way* out... it's like 10% off. That sounds pretty shit for the rear diff but I spose Mitsubishi know what they're doing..?

cheers!
