Serious-seven, firstly you have to ask how you can put a N-S engine in an E-W configuration without major fabrications? And secondly why the SR20 can't do the job?

I was wondering if it was possible since the RB25DET costs near the same as a SR20DET. and sometimes cheaper depending on condition.

I have access to a shot motor GTiR.Real cheap. was wondering....

I think your calculations might be a little bit off. Have you checked out a GTi-R lately? Even *if* (and it's a very very very very big if) you managed to squeeze the engine in without removing the struts, fabricating an adapter to suit the existing 4WD gearbox would be a nightmare. Then add on the fact the torque will utterly smash it to pieces....

This thread made me laugh.

SAU so needs a 'Pool Room'.

It reminds me of the scene in "Lethal Weapon II" where the South African diplomat tries to persuade Danny Glover to stay in the US when he wants to move to South Africa... "Listen to your friends, they know what they are talking about!"

People here have YEARS of experience with Nissans - they know what they are talking about!

You cannot turn a long RB motor sideways and weld it onto a GTiR 4wd transaxle.

Fantasize about something normal.. like sticking an RB26DETT into an AE86 Sprinter...

T.
