Steering Rack Moved

I need to move my steering rack over slightly to drivers side more so i can clear an exhaust through. If i do it will i screw things up alot or just have to adjust the tie rods accordingly. Ive heard of people moving it forwards and backwards but havent seen anything about left to right.

Im no expert but it doesn't sound like a good idea to me. Is there another option for the exhaust? Can you maybe space the rack instead to give you some more clearance? A picture would be helpful so we can see exactly what your dealing with.

Ill get some pics when im done cutting out stuff from the engine bay and ready to start getting some mounts made up. Have found a guy doing the same build but with a turbo motor and says there is enough room so will talk to him

Surely it would muck up because the pivot points in your steering arms will be offset to the drivers side, but your control arms pivots will be in the original location. Sounds like weird bump steering issues to me.
