Hi guys im trying to service my car and have been reading alot of posts as too what to fill and how to fill it however i havnt found many for my 99 r34 gtt

So my question is i bought some penrite power steering fluid and was wondering if i was able to mix it with the existing fluid in the car as the pentite is clear in colour and the resosvoir has pinkish fluid ??? Please help as ive been sitting here researxhing for the last 20 mins and cant find a solution

If it says on the power steering fluid bottle you brought it is safe to mix, then it is safe to mix with existing fluid as a top up.

I've never had a problem topping up with other fluid that are top up compatible. after a while it's good to do an entire flush.

also power steering fluid shouldn't really disappear if you're losing lots you may have a leak worth checking the hoses.

In future, I'd save your money and just buy regular ATF.

Fill reservoir -> start car -> top up if needed and steer car slowly left to right, continuing to top up as required

You need to bleed all the air out of the system. For what its worth, they seem to be a pretty strong pump. When i put my new engine in, I ran the car up to temp and checked over it, forgetting all about power steering (was empty) ran the car for probably half an hour all up with no fluid (mind you I didn't turn the wheel) and the pump is still going strong today
