Hi everyone, been a while since I posted last. I'm looking, preferably, for an OEM 2007 set of projector headlights for my 2005 Skyline 350GT. Failing that can someone point me in the right direction where I can purchase some quality aftermarket headlights. Perhaps someone has got a set for sale??

Would really appreciate your input and help in this matter.

Thanks in advance.

have done the research a few years back when i had a v35, oem will set you back about $2500+ or aftermarket from ebay about $500-700 and quality is not that good, basically you get what u pay and make sure you buy RHD specific from ebay as many are LHD specific Infiniti USA parts.

Thanks for the reply buddy. I'm not too keen ordering a set from eBay to be honest. I have a chance of obtaining an OEM set 2007 from America but they are all LHD over there. Do you know if the projectors can be pointed to LHD? You would think so given they are made at the same factory in Japan??

What about this company called Mars Sports in Aussie, ca anyone vouch for the headlights they sell? I saw these which look OK - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CCFL-Angel-Eyes-LED-DRL-Head-Lights-for-NISSAN-INFINITI-G35-V35-350GT-Skyline-2D/171267512522?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D37430%26meid%3Dc89a81dd056e47cbac70090dbf8e90ef%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D131139343838

Those Mars ones are halogen H7 projectors. Do you have factory HID? Better off with these, as they take the D2R bulb.

I have no idea how the output of those are, they could be just as bad as H7 projectors. Sticking a PnP HID kit into the halogen won't give you a good beam.

Projectors and reflectors are LHD or RHD specific, you can't buy a LHD projector and 'turn it into' a RHD.  It isn't a matter of 'pointing', it is the light pattern which is different..  And definitely don't put HIDs into projectors/reflectors made for halogens!!

Sorry man I don't have a V35. I haven't seen any output shots besides the one:

As you can see, rubbish lol. There is an old thread of people buying that second style you posted (Google "v35 projector headlights", the first SAU result), no output shots though. They seem very expensive to buy and retrofit, so I'd either retrofit the stockers or find a second hand projector set for cheap and open those up.

HID projector should give you something like this (FX-R untuned, unaligned, heaps of foreground):

Or get OEM ones: http://page21.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/j395434936

I had some from the States and had to just dip them a little lower then normal. But you loose light on the left side because of the pattern, makes it harder to see for e.g someone walking on a foot path.

Had them for over 5 years

to bum it just in case if anyone needs like a brand new right headlight from V35 2001 excellent condition

Or open them up and install some RHD HID projectors ;)

    • I ❤️ Matty I would like to thank Matty for going out his way in securing me a OEM NC detachable hard top for the NC Matty, your worth your weight in gold, and I cannot say how much I really appreciate your outstanding help I'll get it colour matched once I pick it up sometime in Dec-Jan 😁
    • We have some genuine Japanese legally decommissioned car number plates now in stock 🙂 Add some legitimately obtained JDM style to your Skyline or other Japanese model, or simply as a garage/man cave decoration! About the 40mm hole: The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure & Transport in Japan recognised the popularity of keeping decommissioned plates among car enthusiasts and came up with a method to "destroy" (or render them unusable for street use) while still retaining their collectable/usable value for display etc.  We have 40mm hole covers available to cover the hole nicely with a Sakura motif, which are also available in white in (very!) limited quantities, however they frequently sell out. Please let me know if you're wanting one or more of these and I'll check availability. The Sakura motif covers are more common. https://www.oemsoko.co.jp/products/genuine-decommissioned-japanese-vehicle-number-plate-set-su-7515 https://www.oemsoko.co.jp/products/genuine-decommissioned-japanese-vehicle-number-plate-set https://www.oemsoko.co.jp/products/genuine-japanese-vehicle-number-plate-400mm-hole-cover *Please note that we can't obtain particular number or area name (eg: "Gunma 500 Fu ・86") if requested. All plates are provided as they become available after decommissioning.
    • Ah, fair enough. For the IAT, I'm using a legit GM sensor that was used on the car prior to my current build. I'll get another wideband and IAT ordered and follow up when they show up. Thanks for the help.
    • You shouldn't need to massively fatten up the mixtures for cold conditions. For one thing - 0°C is not that cold. For another, the Haltech will be using the IAT sensor to tell it how dense the air air, and calculate the correct amount of fuelling. Then the cold start enrichment is added as a % on top of that, so it should scale with the main fuelling. You might also doubt the IAT sensor at this time. You're not using one from an RB26 are you? Using a nice Bosch sensor or similar? Happens. Some wideband units take great pleasure in killing their sensors. Put another wideband in the tailpipe and compare. Or just swap the sensor to a brand new one and see.
    • Oh, my misunderstand. When the car was running, it sounded ok, but if I gave it any gas it wanted to die but caught itself afterwards. It's very different from how it was a couple months ago when it was warmer outside. The logs show that the AFRs are better during, what I assume, is warmup enrichment. Because it's cold, and air is more dense, should I work on the enrichment bit?
