Hey guys!

So I removed the Hicas rack for a lock bar and my steering is now super LIGHT.. Not heavy like most.

Any idea what the cause is?

My next step will be to unplug the hicas ECU. If that has an effect I might try snipping pin 15's wire like in the guide I found on here to get rid of the light. Hopefully this solves my weird light steering issue.

Car is weird to drive as it doesn't give much feedback into the wheel haha.

I just removed mine yesterday too. It felt weird on the first drive but feels fine now. Obviously needs a wheel alignment as its towing toward the right but steering feel is good. I would suggest you take it for another drive and re assess it after that.

HICAS is in fault because of the missing actuator would be my guess.  Fault leads to maximum assistance signal fed to rack solenoid.

Recommendation would be to put a scan tool on it and confirm what I said above.  After that, an actual solution eludes me.  R32s don't do it.  From what I gather (given the thousands of boats, um I mean R33s, with lock bars, they shouldn't do it either.
