R34 25gt tapping and oil

I was driving my r34 25gt getting it ready for sale and started hearing a really loud knocking/ tapping noise when I accelerate, I jacked the car up and noticed oil around the area where the tail shaft enters the gear box...

Gears and clutch feel fine just wondering what it is and how I can fix it

Worn universals? Centre bearing? Grab the tail shaft and see if there is excessive movement.

I did there is movement but it does stock maybe moves about 10% (car is manual) but doesn't explain the gear oil

So obviously there's a leak around the gearbox somewhere, you'll have to get under it and see where it's coming from.

Have you done any work around that are recently, take the drive shaft out for any reason?

What is the condition of the centre hanger bearing?

Sounds like a universal as suggested.

Only work I have done is change the clutch over but that was like a year ago..
