GTR-Registry.com Presents: R35 GTR: VIN/Model Code/Type/Colours/47+ Countries!

Recommended Posts

GTR-Registry.com is proud to announce the release of the Nissan R35 GTR data covering from 2007-11 to 2013-02!
---------------------------------
VIN Tables:
This data is contained in 5 databases, of which I have managed to obtain most or all for the following regions:

http://gtr-registry.com/en-r35-au.php Australia & New Zealand: 594 of 594 records.

http://gtr-registry.com/en-r35-ja.php Japan: 7987 of 8006 records.

http://gtr-registry.com/en-r35-eu.php Europe, United Kingdom, Russia, Other RHD markets:  6109 of 6118 records. [Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Lativa, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom]

http://gtr-registry.com/en-r35-us.php USA, Canada, Middle East and some others: 8998 of 9038 records. [USA, Canada, United Arab Emirates + Other Middle East, Guam, PLT(?)]

Unfortunately despite asking around quite a bit I was unable to find any info yet on:
http://gtr-registry.com/en-r35-gl.php Other LHD markets. In the notes I can see this covers Korea, Taiwan, Lebanon and Algeria. No doubt I will be able to find more. This is where you could help - if you know someone in 1 of these countries, can you please help obtain a VIN (I don't need the last 3 digits - just the first 14 would do) or please get them to contact me. From that I should be able to work out the rest, and finish off this database which should cover all of the R35 GTR for the entire world.

Please try and find your VIN. If you can't find it, please check:
A) Is it dated less than March 2013?
B) Try searching the last 6 numbers of your VIN.
C) Try looking in the other R35 databases. If you have a R35 that was factory delivered to a country that is not listed, please let me know.

If you still can't find it, please contact me!

There are some other current unknowns in the data, so if you are able to help with any of these, please let me know.

In the USA database there is 413 cars listed with the model code GLRNLWGR35ZUAY00#Y. I have been able to confirm that 3 is UAE. I'm sure that the other numbers are for other Middle East countries, such as Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, etc. I'd love to be able to accurately list these cars, so again if you know someone or could ask around in the local language to try and help work out what they are, that would be great.

Also in the USA data, there is a listing for GUM/PLT. I am certain GUM is for Guam, but I have not worked out PLT. Do you have any ideas?

In the Europe/UK/Russia/Other RHD database, there are a few cars listed without a country in the source data. I've added them to "No Country Specified" in these circumstances. Almost all of these are in the MY12 section.

Many countries, for example Germany, Austria and Switzerland are all grouped together. This is how it is in the source code and I can't separate these out any further. There are some small countries that have their own listing. Interestingly there is no mention of Spain. These may fall under Portugal.

Japan has 2 colours that are not located elsewhere (that I'm aware of), LAC (Black Opal for SpecV) and QAG Ultimate Opal White. Speaking of which, was SpecV ever released outside of Japan?

There is nothing too exciting in the Australia/New Zealand database really.
---------------------------------
Colours and Production Pages
These are coming in the not too distant future. The only reason I haven't added them now is that I want to see if there are any missing batches of VINs first (hopefully not except for Other LHD markets). I don't want to post the build numbers and then have it change and be incorrect - I'll try and get it right first time.

---------------------------------
Other cars on GTR-Registry.com
The R35 data isn't the first to be added - in fact it is the 6th major release of data. There is a full VIN table of all R32, R33, and R34 GTRs as well - please take a look around the site.

---------------------------------
Photo Registry:
There is a Registry section at http://gtr-registry.com/forum/ where you can add photos of your car and it will link back to the main database VIN table. If you change the dropdown box "Pic" to Yes you will get a quick list of all of these cars. If you take a look at the R34 GTR section there is already over 100 cars listed.

---------------------------------
Please Help!!!
- Share/Repost/Tell your friends etc
- Please help spread this post to all R35 GTR Facebook Pages/Groups/Forums etc. It would be very highly appreciated if you speak 2 or more languages if you could put a small introduction about this data in your non English language and post to non english areas of the internet. Thanks.
- Don't forgot I'm looking for a VIN for Taiwan/Korea/Algeria/Lebanon - if you can help I'm happy to give you permanent credit on the website!
- Also looking for info on Middle East countries in USA database, and what PLT means.

If you are able to supply a copy of Nissan FAST with data newer than 2013-03 I would love to know, please get in contact with me, thanks!

    • Which are almost all nonsense. Ignore. Obviously enough, if it is not a porous block, then any such thing is a waste of time. External block surface? Would be a waste of time, if the block was actually porous. It would need to go on the inside, which is inaccessible, and even if the block was open deck so that that area was acessible, it would be unlikely to work. But seeing as this is all nonsense, stop worrying about it.   If the coolant is coming from the side of the block it is 10:1 odds that it is either a welch plug, or it is coming from the head gasket. Maybe from one of the coolant lines feeding the turbo, or even the heater. Liquids that leak from up high can travel sideways along casting surfaces or pipes, etc on the engine before finding a spot from which to drop.
    • Yeah rust is sadly also a bit of an issue on my car. Doubt there is many cars out there that actually have no rust in those aeas. The strut towers look fine but some of the surounding metal sheets show a bit of brown cancer peeking out from in between. I hope I can make do with external remedies and won't have to rip open the whole front end anytime soon. It looks somewhat minor compared to some shit I have seen online. I have worked on a few cars but I expect the RB26 to be my first 'engine out' job at some point.
    • Welcome Jan, It's very likely that you are in over your head. You'll just have to learn to swim hard and fast! These old rust buckets have more ways to bankrupt us than almost any other car. But hopefully there's nothing wrong that ruins the whole show! We can help a fair bit. There's plenty here who've been fixing these things for >25 years. cheers
    • Hi all. First off, thanks for reading my post. So end of last season I put the car away knowing I was leaking at least two fluids. One of them being rear turbo's oil. I went to my car recently that is waiting in a garage to take a peek with my boroscope to try and see if I can narrow down the souce of oil before taking it out of storage. What I found is not so great I think. The rear turbo is (probably) leaking from the oil drain. The hose and it's clamps are probably the original ones, so most likely just worn out or loose. However I spotted a line of rust going straight down from the turbo oil feed, as if water leaked out of there at some point. Also explains the red liquid that was dripping from my front subframe, which I initially thought was power steering. I can even see coolant drops hanging off the side of the oil pan as well. After a quick hit on the web I found a select few discussions about porous engine blocks. My question is if the pics of the turbo oil feed and the left hand side of the block (imgur link below) looks like it could be exactly that to you. Maybe someone in the community has seen it before and knows what it looks like. If it actually is a porously leaking block, has anyone attempted at fixing it with simple methods like putting a sealer in the cooling system and using something like jb weld on the block surface, or will it just leak in 2 weeks again? I could not find any detailed info or pictures on this topic. If I need a new engine, tell me softly. https://imgur.com/a/knVvmZ8
    • Hey all. I'm 23 and from Germany, September last year I bought a mildly modded 1995 GTR Vspec. Looks great and was fun so far, but I already have a list of issues of various severity that I need to take care of, potentially growing longer the closer I look. I just hope I'm not in over my head, I really want to keep the car and work towards it becoming great. I hope y'all will help me out in getting there, I am positive I will need help sooner rather than later to figure out how to proceed. greetings, some pics of the car I posted to imgur. https://imgur.com/a/StKkabz
