Do you guys have requirements on roll cage padding?  I'm going to put some SFI approved stuff just on the bar where my helmet could hit but was wondering if that would be enough for this event and similar sprints?

Umm check the CAMS Web site as they changed requirements a few years ago.

I've read it but it seems that every club varies depending on the event.  Went and spectated at a Tampered day and the padding on cars varied massively from the cheap noodle stuff to a tiny piece of SFI stuff just where the helmet might touch the bar so there was no consistency.   Will see what happens Saturday. :)

There are garages at HH?  Will there be any reserved for the day that we can put items we don't want to get wet with rain... lol

I don't think there are but if so they would be $50.

Bring a tarp to wrap it all in that's what most people do there. We might bring a small marquee for spectators.

Ah ok, makes sense, if I dont have a tarp I might just grab a cheap one to cover stuff up... :)

Not a bad sort of day at Haunted Hills.

A massive thanks to those in the SAU Vic committee that helped with the day either putting it together beforehand or on the day. A lot goes to put on these events and they wouldn't be possible without some dedicated people.

Thanks to the drivers and spectators for coming out and braving the cold, and also three cheers for the people who run the venue, such a great place to spend any afternoon! We hope you all had a good day and that you're already looking towards the next event! :)

If you have any photos or vids from the day feel free to post them here and use #SAUVic so we can see your shots, and maybe even share one or two on our FB page.

Thanks to everyone for organising the day and to Collins for pushing the guys to get them to do back to back runs on the first course as that helped a lot for me personally.

It was my first ever hill climb in my "V8 Supercar" as it's been named so was pretty sketchy at times but thoroughly enjoyable.  I've attached a couple of pics I took and a video of one of my laps where I was just getting my head around the track but as it's been pointed out to me I forgot what to do with my hands so they were all over the place haha.
