Spare parts for V36 Crossover - Windscreen

Hi All

I have an imported 370GT Crossover (2010) for the wife. She caught a stone yesterday and the windscreen has had it. Now I am finding out how hard an import is to get bits for :(

I know the car is mechanically compatible with the local 370Z but with body panels and glass, it appears unique (een to other 370GT variants). I rang nissan - no stock but hey can import the glass. Delivery 2 weeks to 2 months. I am now trying some local windscreen shops but fear that there is no local stocks anywhere.

Open to all and any suggestion - including buying online and getting delivered express. Chassis is J50-101606.

help !

Hi Peter.

I've already had to replace the windscreen on my 2013 model. Same problem - a chip thrown up outside Nowra which turned into a run across half of the windscreen (dammit!). I'm insured with NRMA and I get a free windscreen with my policy each year, so money wasn't a concern. They contacted Windscreens O'Brien, who contacted the local NIssan dealer. Yes, they had to import from Japan too and quoted 'up to 3 months', but it was here in 3 weeks.

The thing to be careful about though is matching the sun filter at top with the lane change camera - the gap in the filter needs to be in the right place so as not to block the camera's view of the road. I say this, because I'm unsure whether the US Infiniti will have the camera on the same side...

Let us know how you go.

Hey Peter, here is a wreck in Auckland that you might be able to get the windscreen from.

Still need to bring it across the ditch but at least should be quicker than getting one all the way from Japan?

Hope this helps!

Hi all ,

well Hornsby nissan came thru. 2.5weeks it took and cost me 681+gst + $150 fitting. Quite good considering how rare it is locally. Thankyou mr Nissan !

Did you get a windscreen cover for your car Peter? I always did since all those years back the mrs had a toyota OPA which was quite rare back then in Auckland and we had to get a replacement side window. So it's probably worth getting a windscreen cover for this!
