attesa reservoir

hi all 

my attesa reservoir has started leaking from the hoses any idea where to get replacement ones other than nissan ?

Pull it out and fix it. Its not under pressure. Or get one from a wrecker.

yeah would like new not another 20 year old plus that will leak again.. have been told by nissan they arent avail anymore so need a suitable replacement

but i dont know what sort of hose to use ..fuel transmission .....how much pressure it will need to withstand ...etc

Um, it's hydraulic oil.....so get hose that suits that.  There's no pressure at the reservoir, on either side, like Bob said, so no worries there.

Work out the internal diameter that's required then go to an Enzed or Pirtek and say you need hose to suit transmission fluid of that ID

ok have tried draining but it has stopped at just below the return hose..no more is coming out the nipple ..how do i get the rest of the fluid out?

Demount it and pull it out.  Or just stuff rags under it and rip the hose off.

if you are keen to fully empty it, instead of using the bleed nipple pull the large line (of the pair) off the hard line under the car above the subframe (just near the fuel filler)

Anyone know off the top of their head how much fluid is required to flush the whole system from empty?

Slightly off topic question but wondering how hot does this fluid get when on track and does it influence the way the attesa system works?

Personally, I only know I've never had trouble with attessa failing or changing, even during a long (1hr) race.  I guess it doesn't work very hard (obviously the fluid *inside* the case is a different story, but they are separate)
