RB26 plenum size

Hey all,

I will be putting an RB26 plenum onto my RB20 and i am also wanting to use Wiggins couplings on my cooler piping. Was wondering if anyone knows the inlet size of the RB26 plenum?

Not the throttle body size but the actual opening on the mouth of the plenum itself. Piggaz i know you were using wiggins clamps so maybe you could remember? I assume it will be a 3" clamp used. Thanks

Just curious. Do you plan on using the individual throttle bodies and runners also?

Yes everything OEM RB26 just utilising an adapter plate between the plenum and the head.

Should be 80mm so just a tiny bit bigger than 3" which is 76mm

Awesome thanks mate, that shouldn't be too difficult to attach a 3" ferrule to it then.

Brett nailed it. 

I just used 3 inch clamps. As close as you'll get.

Just looking back at your build thread and in the pics you used a 3" silicone on your plenum not a wiggins clamp. Did you end up going wiggins straight off the plenum?

I'm keeping the 3 inch silicone joiner there. I wasn't prepared to pull the plenum off to weld it. If it does come off or the engine comes out, I'll throw one on. The Nismo plenums are a little more tricky to do than the factory units.

No worries then, didn't realise your engine was staying in the car this whole time. I'll be sure to put up a pic here when I get it done.

I have an oem one at home doing nothing. I upgraded to a Nismo one. PM if you want it.

Is that plenum only or the whole cold side (plenum/throttles etc)
