R33 shifter bush issues

Hey guys quick question in regards to the shifter bush located on the end of the gear stick that slots into the gear selector 

R33 GTS-T S2

I recently purchased a replacement bush as mine was worn and there was a lot of slop in the stick so I went with a GK tech solid shifter bush as they outlast the plastic ones.

GK tech bush was wayyyyyy to big by a mile even though it was the correct one for my vehicle so that was a no go 

So...

I ordered a genuine Nissan one and guess what! The same damn thing is still way too big so could someone tell me if I'm missing something here or is this some kind of manufacturing screw up because after hours of messing around knuckle deep inside the gearbox I'm nothing but pissed off and confused

You sure it's too big? They can be quite fiddly to get in. I had tried a gktech 1 and couldn't get it in but the oem went in OK when lined up correctly.

Yeah it's literally the different between a 20 cent coin and a 10 cent coin i understand it's a snuck fit but it doesn't take an Einstein to tell it doesn't fit haha

Yeah it is it hasn't had a different gearbox its definately the box for an rb25 r33

That's weird. I know rb20 and I think R34 25 boxes use a smaller bush. Maybe you can try one of those. Still wouldn't make sense as to why. Very odd indeed.

Yes, but is it perhaps a non-turbo rb25 box?

Well, the RB25DE box is physically the same size (it's basically the same box) as the RB20DET box.  Much smaller than the MASSIVE RB25DET box.  Get underneath with a couple of printouts of photos of each type.  You will see it in seconds.

GKtech sell two one which is big one which is small. One is for GTR one for GTST. 

I have one here at home, I went to put it in but wasn't happy with it so I removed it. If you're in Sydney I'll give it to you for free.
