GTR-San
Greetings all, Excuse my ignorance, but what is the difference between a normal GTR and a GTR V Spec? Are there any advantages in searching and waiting to find a V Spec over the standard GTR if I am just going to modify it anyway? There appears to be a few R32 GTR's for reasonable prices around at the moment and am looking at buying my first turboed car and my first 4WD car. My first choice just on looks is the R34, but I can not afford that right away so 32 it shall be. Are there any traps out there for first timers such as myself? Any help is much appreciated. EVL R33
GTR-San, Vspecs in 32 guise are different over standard ones because they came with Brembo brakes (stock 32's did not), better attessa 4wd system and stiffer suspension from what I know. The difference in the 33's is only the attessa and suspension as all 33 gtr's came with Brembo's. I think the 34's are the same as the 33's... It's up to you, if you get a 33 for instance with coilovers then the only diff is the attessa. A vspec should cost a bit more, and the resale price will probably only reflect that amount of difference.. If you can get a mint non vspec grab it, they are no slower than a vspec.... GTR-San
Thanks alot for all the info, and after searching around a little bit, it seems as though it would be a much better idea to buy a car that has been modified already, to around the same extent as to what I would have. So now the price has gone up substantially but it seems as though I will save some money this way in the long run.
