Hi guys

i just got told by a radio dealer ( rapid radio) in New Zealand that eventually my ac/radio will pack up and stop working after 10 years . Once it's picked up there's no after market replacement for it and there for becomes a right off because I am unable to acces my ac to demist my windows ect . He suggested that I get a spare kit for when mine goes . I have done lots of research and found nothing . Was he wrong ?

how could he know that, given the oldest of the V36 is only just 10 years old now..

Like anything electronic, it is going to be quite hard to predict the lifespan, some might fail before 10 years, others might go for 20 years plus.  I wasn't aware of known issues with the V36 stereo like there is with the V35s.. saying that, my 11 year old V35 stereo is still working fine.
