M35 Boost increase

Recommended Posts

No reason why it would idle differently. Running "fine" is very subjective. Ideally you would dyno it to see what is happening but if you could borrow an afr meter that might be of interest.

Thanks boys, I know how boost increase changes and what to do in r32 gtr but on m35 I have been told any variation from std will affect the car being smooth and I'm aware that Dyno will fix things but then should you swap ecu which is another can of worms.

I never noticed any deteoration in smoothness at all.

I had mine too high and was hitting boost cut a bit.

ECU will pick up extra airflow and boost and dump fuel accordingly.

Factory fuel maps go up to 18psi.

You'll need to bypass the bleed off solenoid and tee in there.

For some reason my e-manage was unable to clamp boost cut so

Jez  tricked  the ECU by altering the boost source.

I think he ran a vac line off the actuator back to the boost sensor, so the ECU thinks it's at 16.

I had 16psi off the spring with Scottys actuator mod preload
