Re4r01a forward clutch

How do trans gurus!

Currently rebuilding an re4r01a from my stagea rs4.  Purchased a banner kit including frictions, and am fitting a transgo kit too.

There are two snap rings for the forward clutch frictions and steels.  With the old setup, i believe they were 1.6mm frictions, the inner snap ring held them all in and the outer seemed redundant.

With the new frictions, I believe I have 2mm frictions.  The outer snap ring holds them in, with not much clearance (approx 0.15 mm), making the inner ring redundant as it won't fit

Can anyone forsee any issues with this?

From my understanding, adding extra frictions can make the gear change harsher but also take more power?

Would this be the same with thicker frictions?

Im learning as i go, Thanks in advance!

The bottom circlip is there for the clutch retainer, the top circlip is there for the rear planetry set. If 1.6 plates came out, it would be smart to put them back in. They do 1.8 and 2mm steel plates to increase/decrease clutch clearance also
