Hi all,

For those familiar with the car I purchased the Rice Racing GTR last week. This is a car that has seen 1.15 around Sandown & 1.39 around Phillip Island; a car that is proven and sorted as much as a car can be.

The car is a 1998 model series 3 and is in good condition with most parts in excellent or like new condition. The chassis has seen less than 40,000kms.

I simply purchased the car for a couple of bits and it is a shame to part the car out (the previous owner was almost in tears seeing the car go, and after seeing the work & R&D I am regretting the part out also) however I have made the decision.

The car only has top shelf items (N1 block, HKS 2.8 Stroker, new Holinger 6 Speed Sequential etc).

Also the previous owner was meticulous – I can supply receipts for just about everything J

Please note any low ball offers will be ignored.

So here is the list of parts.

Is the car running a pedal box? If so, what type?

And is the dash a logger dash or just display?

What's the measurements of those brakes? I have GTS-T 33 S2
After market rims with 32+ offset on front and 30+ rear if they will fin that spec I'm very interested as I'm in need of good brakes soon.

Never mind that..... Should have read before I just jumped to pictures. Ill do some research and get back to you about those brakes.

    • Honda's hybrid system can be easily scaled up to PHEVs. Series hybrid at low speeds, at higher speeds the engine directly drives the wheels but there can still be some power bled off to charge the battery + the electric motor can still provide parallel assistance too. It's really only a question of will at that point. Toyota's PHEVs are selling incredibly well at the moment because of the flexibility. You can run on EV mode when it makes sense, but if you're planning on doing a long highway drive you can still fire up the gas engine and not have to worry about dealing with the rather miserable state of public charging infrastructure.
    • Only reason to keep a MAF on your RB25 is to be able to easily calculate true VE if you know what the factory voltage curve represents in grams per second of flow. Also allows you to do things like pull the original OEM ignition + AFR target tables and use those as a starting point for your base map. Once you're well and truly done tuning though there's no need to retain the MAF.
