Hello all,

My 2004 nissan skyline 350gt has an issue where it feells like the engine was shaking too much with a little bit of a shudder. When it happened the engine, vcd and slip lights all came on. So i took it to the mechanic. And turns out i needed new valve covers because oil was leaking into the spark plugs. So i got some valve rocker covers from the states he put them in along with a new set of spark plugs and a couple of new coils. Over the weekend the car was working sweet. But this morning it did a slight shudder and all the lights came back on. I managed to drive to work anyway as the shudder stopped. But the lights are still on. Im headed back there after work. Any ideas as to what the problem is?

You would need to get the error codes read, those lights are symptoms of many issues, I had the same warnings when I had a bad connection on my throttle pedal connector.

This.

Could be brake fluid, ABS, brake pads, or a whole bunch of other stuff.

The motor shuddering (or the whole car) can be 1 cylinder not firing. Dead coil pack is common if theyre not OEM. Does the car drive ok through-out the rev range?

After the coils (all 6 of them I assume) and sparksplug change, the misfire should be gone then if the car still stutters then it's more likely there is a low compression on that cylinder.

A low compression might be the cause of many things from the engine internal parts itself. I had the same thing happened just a couple of month ago and went through the whole process. Luckily my guy was able to fix that problem without having to rebuild the whole engine.

Good luck
