jimstah87
RB20DET GTX2867r E85 Unopened Hey everyone just wanting to get some thoughts on running a GTX2867r on an RB20DET with all supporting mods and E85. I've read the sticky RB20 turbo upgrade thread and hadn't seen anyone running this turbo on the RB20. Wanting to know if 350rwhp should be achievable on E85 with it being unopened, thanks Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/467919-rb20det-gtx2867r-e85-unopened/ Share on other sites
R_34
Power wise it is within what the engine can happily take and what the turbo can easily make. If the goal is to make only 350whp max I would get the 2863 as it will be plenty enough already and save some late spooling on the 20. The question is how you plan on installing one on your engine ? Most housings are T25 flanged or twinscroll T3 externally gated. Either way you'll need some fabrication/modification needed to make it fit, or find a 6 bolts HKS GT25xx housing. Ed.williams5
I'd personally go with a gt3071. They flow very close to the same and it will bolt in not having to try and switch over to t25.
