Tape for protection at track days?

Is this the type of stuff people use?

If not what tape is it I've seen on the leading edges of nicer cars at track days to protect from stone chips etc?

Why not a stylish and unobtrusive #carbra ? Jokes

One thing to watch out for with masking tape is that it may not be ideal for parts with DIY paint jobs. I used to put masking tape over my self-painted boot lip spoiler, until one time I pulled off a bit of paint taking it off. Shouldn't be an issue with professionally painted and baked/cured parts though.

I wasnt sitting on someones ass when I got sandblasted, was catching a car that wasnt paying attention and changed lanes onto me.

Thanks for the useless suggestions and no answers to the actual question :D

Anyone actually used the tape I'm talking about and if so is what I linked the same stuff?

As an update for this.

Blue painters tape, scotch branded, worked quite well on the paint, though it wanted to lift at the edges and only likes sticking to the paint itself so you can't layer it up. Keep in mind my bonnet and bar are fibreglass, roof and rear spoiler are metal.

However, it pulled the clear off my freshly done headlights and a little off my splitter, both plastic items.
