2 Step Comp dis dat... funny it's not even "2-step", it's actually anti-lag with a secondary RPM limiter but hey it's cooler to just say "2-step".

Muricaaaaaaaaaaaaa fk yeah.

Same same. Mine is the rolling antilag as well. But I was just sitting still for filming purposes. What I like best is mine is activated with the snow button but makes 🔥 the opposite

2 step is.. just a limiter while the car is not moving 😛

but the silly americans expect it to also shoot flames and make bang bang noises

Just my luck, same with All Jap Day.

Car gods are giving me a sign, don't race your car. Just hard park it and stand next to it only.

Man it's annoying, I just want to go racing:

  • All Jap Day, NSW floods, moved to 19th of November
  • Luddenham, NSW probably might flood and hail
  • Wakefield Park, closed after 1st September

Farken.

I will be doing a track day in the next few months when my net kit arrives
(New Pulsar G30-770 turbo, high mount mani, turbosmart 45mm gate, custom dump and screamer pipes).
Aim is 400-450 HP out of my stock RB20DET :)
Should be fun at 1100kg (Ish)

Will have to T up a track day together :)

Definitely man!

It's super hard for me to get a day off from work and family duties. When I do, it never works out!

All I see here is more time for DCT conversion not lack of track time

Car did not blow up 😆

ABS died, plenty of lock ups after lol. Then cluster died, no tacho so just banged the limiter instead, then wideband sensor decided to die and read 35:1 AFR and engine protection kept triggering lol.

Post up footage soon.

Managed a 1m00.2s, my mate did a 58.1s in the car but he's been to Luddenham several times.

Yay no need to pull motor out.
So Nexus, IC7 and new sensors??

Where is the wideband sensor? I have actually been putting them further down stream these days so not coping all the heat.

I like the IC7, just not the casing.

Sensor is after the 2nd bend on the dump, about 20cm before the cat is.

Theoretically that should be far enough from the turbo.

Oh yeah, it was a day hosted by Garmin to test out their hardware 🙂

Great got it out, how did you find the garmin? So when next day booked?

Is it an older sensor? 4.2 or 4.9 ,interesting its failed.

Ic7 is a big unit, if did something smaller like the Aim would be better and not as intrusive.

Better than the Q Starz unit I had back in the day. Tell you delta, reads out lap times so you don't need to look, then the opportunities screen is mega good.

Acts like a personal coach, shows you what speed you should be going at, how to take lines, etc.

Just waiting for the in car footage from the unit in my car and I'll post it up.

Not too sure when the next track day was, today's one was super last minute. I do have All Jap Day on the 19th of Nov, but that's more "power cruise" than actual racing. There are 2x sprint sessions but that's it.

Sensor wise, I have no idea. It's the first gen Haltech canbus wideband, will need to unplug it and have a squiz at some stage, maybe next year I'll sort it out 😂

I guess it is aimed at track day not racing, easy to install and use but not the sort of functionality you get out of a proper logger like IC3 or motec stuff

    • Honda's hybrid system can be easily scaled up to PHEVs. Series hybrid at low speeds, at higher speeds the engine directly drives the wheels but there can still be some power bled off to charge the battery + the electric motor can still provide parallel assistance too. It's really only a question of will at that point. Toyota's PHEVs are selling incredibly well at the moment because of the flexibility. You can run on EV mode when it makes sense, but if you're planning on doing a long highway drive you can still fire up the gas engine and not have to worry about dealing with the rather miserable state of public charging infrastructure.
    • Only reason to keep a MAF on your RB25 is to be able to easily calculate true VE if you know what the factory voltage curve represents in grams per second of flow. Also allows you to do things like pull the original OEM ignition + AFR target tables and use those as a starting point for your base map. Once you're well and truly done tuning though there's no need to retain the MAF.
